Vehicle rental terms
These Terms govern the use of the CheapCarRent service and the booking of vehicles listed by owners and rental companies (the "Owner"). By making a booking, you agree to these Terms.
Partner offers
Some offers are supplied by clearly identified external partners. Selecting a partner offer may redirect you to that partner’s website. The partner’s terms, privacy policy, payment process, cancellation rules and customer support apply to that booking. CheapCarRent does not process the payment or become a party to a rental booked on an external partner website.
1. How booking works
CheapCarRent is a marketplace: the service connects the renter and the Owner and processes the online booking. The rental agreement is concluded between the renter and the Owner; the service acts as the platform and payment intermediary. After you book and pay, the service automatically emails you a booking confirmation with the vehicle details, pick-up address and time, and the Owner's contacts. Present this confirmation when collecting the vehicle.
2. Personal data
The data you provide when booking (name, e-mail, phone) is used to process the booking, send the confirmation and contact you about the rental — in line with the Privacy Policy.
3. Cancellation, changes and no-show
A booking can be cancelled or changed only before the rental starts — in your account under "My bookings" or by contacting support.
Single cancellation scale:
- more than 24 hours before the start — full prepayment refund, no penalty;
- less than 24 hours or a no-show — prepayment is non-refundable.
If the "Cancellation protection" service (see 8) is purchased, no penalty applies for cancellation before the rental starts.
4. Payment
A booking is confirmed by a prepayment through the service. The balance, deposit and extras are paid to the Owner on pick-up unless stated otherwise in the listing. Payment methods: bank card (Visa, Mastercard).
5. What is and isn't included
Included: rental of the vehicle for the selected period and the options stated in the listing.
Not included (paid separately to the Owner where applicable): fuel, deposit, additional driver, child seat, delivery, insurance excess and other extras — as stated in the listing and the Owner's rules.
6. Driver requirements
Age, driving experience, required documents (licence, passport) and the deposit are set by the Owner and stated in the listing. The renter must meet these requirements at pick-up.
7. Pick-up and return
The vehicle is picked up and returned at the address and time stated in the booking confirmation, or as agreed with the Owner (including delivery where the Owner offers it). Traffic and parking fines during the rental are the renter's responsibility.
8. "Cancellation protection" service
Lets you cancel before the rental starts without penalty and get a full prepayment refund. The service fee is not part of the prepayment and is non-refundable. You may opt out within 24 hours of purchase if the rental hasn't started.
9. Discounts and promotions
Apply on the terms stated in the specific promotion and are not combinable unless stated otherwise.
10. Other provisions
Commercial use of the service without CheapCarRent's written permission is not allowed. Speculative or fraudulent bookings, and use of the service's name and materials without permission, are prohibited.
